LMI ("Literature and Media Innovation") is an Interuniversity Attraction Pole program (IAP - P 7/01), which is financed by BELSPO. It brings together four Belgian research groups: MDRN (KU Leuven, coordinator), CLIC (VUB), CRI (UCL) and CIPA (ULg), which collaborate with two international partners (Project Narrative, OSU, and FIGURA, UQAM), in a challenging program that questions the interaction between "genre" and "medium". LMI is an interdisciplinary progam which links literature to visual arts, theater, performance studies and musicology. Its basic structure is modular. Currently, we explore the dynamic relationship between genre and medium in 11 subprojects.
